We've engaged Core for two projects since 2022. The first was a bathroom build attached to our master bedroom, and the second was finishing our basement space as an office, since we both now work from home. For the bathroom project, we worked with the Core team, picking out the colors, fixtures, Wetwall, etc. Dane kept us apprised of the schedule, and Mike the builder worked with us as he progressed or had questions. In the two years since, we've encountered a minor issue with how the vanity collects water, and Corey stands by his warrantee, working with us to resolve the issue at no additional cost. The basement build was more intricate, requiring insulation, soffits, a lot more electrical work, and a wall. We had recently had french drains installed, so Dane and Bill the builder worked with us to incorporate access panels and a small closet for the sump pump. The electricians were top notch, plasters and painters were quick, and the entire team worked to keep the project on schedule with very little slip. Inspections were easy; all the work was to code with no snafus. I now use the basement as my primary office and retreat space, and I love it. For both projects, the team was easy to work with, kept us informed of progress or questions. Using the CoConstruct app, we were able to have concise conversations and a record of all our decisions. Core's quotes were reasonable - we feel like we got high value for the money spent. The pay schedule was fair and kept both parties invested through the completion of the project. I plan to hire Core for future projects, and have recommended them to friends in the area.

I bought a new to me house in the summer of 2019 and needed to redo a bathroom (including moving a doorway) and also wanted to add a garage. Found CORE via Google and sent them an email (along with numerous other companies most of which never responded). The president of the company, Corey, came out himself and sat down to talk about what I was looking to do and timeline, he took measurements and pictures, explained their process, etc. I ended up using them and they began the bathroom work almost immediately due to a lucky break in scheduling.
There was a lot of communication, especially via their app, and their carpenter Kim did a great job on all the work and was meticulous to protect the house interior from any damage and also he kept the area very clean as he did the work. We hit a few snags as you usually do on things being on backorder or whatever and they quickly worked with me to figure out substitutes so we didn't lose time. The end result on the bathroom is fantastic and everything I could have wanted. When it came to the garage I knew it would be more involved given the scope but I hadn't fully anticipated the obstacles we would have to overcome with the town. I was looking to hand over duties to someone and have them deal with everything and boy did they ever have things to deal with. The town put them through so much to get approval but they kept at it, were great at keeping me updated on things, and took care of it all. It ended up taking a lot longer than we could have imagined but none of it was due to them, as soon as we got approvals they were there starting to work. I really appreciated that everyone from CORE (and between the projects I think I dealt with almost all of them) was nice, professional, wanted to help solve any problems, etc. There was never someone I had any issue with or could complain about in the least. Even the sub-contractors they used for things like the concrete were fantastic. I kept commenting on how nice they were and Corey was always appreciative that I felt that way and everyone was very nice to my 9 year old daughter as she checked out what they were working on. They never pushed anything I didn't need, but would always make suggestions that made sense or would be better and less expensive. If you aren't interested in doing the work yourself to pick things they even will help with suggesting based on your criteria! The bathroom ended up slightly under-budget and the garage was right on. Though I'm ready to be done with big projects for now I would absolutely use CORE again in the future and would have no hesitation recommending them to family or friends.

After a very bad experience with a contractor on our kitchen remodel we were very skeptical about hiring another contractor to do our bathroom remodel. I went out got several quotes and decided to go with Core Remodeling with no regrets. You could not ask for a more professional team from Stacey to Corey to Mike to even the painter. "From start to finish, CORE Remodeling (Corey, Mike and Dave) are first-class. They did two projects for us. A deck remodel where the deck was enclosed and a basement remodel. CORE Remodeling recently completed a project to make our condo more accessible for my husband who is a disabled veteran. Corey and his team were professional from beginning to end. They kept us informed every step of the way. They were productive and responsive throughout the whole process. All the crew members were knowledgeable and respectful. It was helpful to have a project manager guiding us and keeping the project on time.
The insurance check we received was not sufficient to cover the cost of the deck, so we turned to Cory for help. He reviewed the insurance estimate, he then met with their adjuster at the work site to point out all the issues with the initial insurance estimates, and was able to negotiate a larger insurance payout so the job could be done right and up to the current building code. Due to this effort by Corey, there was no out-of-pocket cash outlay by my mother-in-law, which was really key to this entire project. All phone calls were returned on time, e-mails were answered timely and overall the communication process was great. The work was done as the timeline was laid out, no missed appointments or unscheduled delays. The project manager, Mike, was on the job the entire time and was able to walk me through any questions I had regarding the specific deck or the building code in general. Mike was always polite and informative, keeping us informed of progress; I think he went above and beyond. The office staff was also very professional, nice and polite. Overall, I would recommend Core Remodeling for any construction needs one might have. The experience was smooth and pleasant, the people I dealt with were knowledgeable, the work was timely and the deck came out great.

"Our home was nearly destroyed as the result of a flood. A cleanup company was sent in by the insurance company and they proceeded to absolutely gut our kitchen, living room and bathroom. CORE came in and worked with us on everything. They provided very valuable guidance for working with the insurance company. They provided very cost effective design suggestions so that we could make some great improvements and updates to our home without going over budget. We are so pleased with how everything came out. Our home is hardly recognizable now and looks beautiful. "I had a very old deck that needed to be replaced. I have had some bad experiences with contractors in the past so I was very particular about who I would hire for this project. CORE Remodeling put all my fears to rest and my project came out beautiful. First and foremost they were professional. Insurance? Yes. Designer? Yes. Permits? all taken care off. All paperwork, plans, expectations, etc were discussed and agreed upon. As it should be. That is not to say we didn't have bumps in the road, we did. When they took the old deck off the back of my house they found that almost the entire back wall of my house was rotted. The previous owner had build the old deck, not to code and there was some serious damage. CORE Remodeling had to build a new back side of my house before they could even begin construction. I really appreciated the fact that they took on this extra project outside of the scope of our original contract. Then when they removed the sliding glass door that accessed my old deck they found that the rot had extended into the floor of my house. Not good. Once again, like troopers, they repaired this also. Then, are you ready, I had a flood..... some things just don't go as planned. Well, the wonderful crew (Jason) actually spent an hour in my basement with a shop vac making sure the water didn't spread. In the end, I have a new deck that is not only beautiful, but safe and functional. I can't wait until the Spring when I can invite friends and family over to enjoy it. "My story is the classic remodeling nightmare. Everything that could go wrong did. In 2013 I was looking for a contractor to put a new bathroom in my basement. I had a few companies including CORE come out to provide me with a quote. Although I was impressed with CORE’s professionalism, they were a little higher than the other companies. So, like most people I thought how much of a difference can it make and I went for the lower priced company. My decision quickly turned into a nightmare. The company I hired was so bad, I ended up firing them and finishing the job myself. The plumbing and electrical was done very improperly and not to code. Because of the bad plumbing the pipes froze this past winter and my basement flooded. When I tried to contact the company, they were nowhere to be found. I tried dealing with the insurance company and they were offering a very low amount of money for the repairs. Without a second thought, I called CORE and did not plan to call anyone else. Corey, the owner, met with me and created a detailed proposal, verifying all the repairs that were needed by code that the insurance company overlooked. In the end, I received the right amount of money that was needed to properly complete the project. I hired CORE that day.Thanks to CORE my nightmare has now turned into a beautiful basement and new bathroom. I was impressed so much by their entire team’s professionalism, responsiveness, aptitude to listen to everything that I wanted and their quality of work that I am having CORE rebuild my front porch before winter and scheduling them to build a new deck in the spring. A tip to anyone reading this, sometimes the cheapest choice, ends up being the most expensive option. Don’t make the same mistake I did. "
