We had a family room and a barely used formal living room with a wall and fireplace in between the two rooms. Our dream was to remove the wall and fireplace to create a more inviting open concept that allowed us to use the entire space. Removing weight-bearing walls and adding a 26-foot steel beam recessed into the ceiling was no small feat, but seemed like no big deal for Corey and his team.

We were impressed with them at every step of the process—from the initial design meeting to the final walk-through. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuine—not only to us, but also to our children and our 3 dogs.

Core Remodeling Services did a major bath renovation for us about two years ago. I intended to write a review of their work at the time but never got around to it. Recently, we ran into an issue that they were kind enough to address even though our warranty period had long since ended. So here’s my review of their original work plus the story that motivated me to write this.

Our master bath remodel was a major project. In addition to a complete teardown and rebuild of the room, we wanted to expand the space into an adjacent walk-in closet and move the closet elsewhere. Core worked with us to come up with a good plan, using 3D drawings to help visualize the space. Once the work started, it proceeded pretty much on schedule and on budget. Throughout the process, communication with the project manager and work crew was superb. All the Core staff were kind, patient, friendly, and always made our satisfaction their top priority. The quality of the work was exceptional and we are extremely happy with the outcome. We have absolutely no reservations recommending Core and would gladly use them again in the future.

In February 2021, we had several days with temperatures in the single digits. One morning, we woke to find our shower was not getting water and surmised that the pipe had frozen. Fortunately it didn’t burst, and when the temperature rose, the blockage cleared. When we first planned the remodel, we expressed concerns that the “wet wall”—the wall containing the shower pipes and valve—would be moving from an interior wall to an exterior wall. Core’s staff enhanced the design to extend the wall and added extra insulation to protect the plumbing from the cold. Needless to say, when the pipe froze I was afraid I would have to pay to get it fixed.

I reached out to Corey, the president of Core Remodeling Services. He responded promptly and assured me they would investigate and do the right thing. They sent a carpenter out to investigate and he found a few places where additional insulation could be added. After looking at his work, I’m confident that it will address the problem.

Core could have easily argued that this work was done out of warranty and I would therefore be responsible for the cost. The fact that they never suggested such a thing is consistent with the professionalism and integrity we encountered in all interactions with Core staff.

We had a fantastic experience with CORE Remodeling. We hired them for a major kitchen remodel, which included the removal of a load-bearing wall. Everyone we dealt with was courteous, friendly, and professional—from the design and planning team to the carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.

The whole team was also extremely responsive and communication was always prompt. On top of it, the work was high quality and done on time. And we were left with a beautiful kitchen!

After a very bad experience with a contractor on our kitchen remodel, we were very skeptical about hiring another contractor to do our bathroom remodel. I went out, got several quotes, and decided to go with Core Remodeling—with no regrets.

You could not ask for a more professional team—from Stacey to Corey to Mike to even the painter. Corey was attentive and listened to my needs and wants. He made suggestions but was never pushy.

Communication was top notch. Being able to go online and communicate was very convenient, especially since I was traveling through most of the remodel.

We did not have a full demolition but expected dust everywhere—and to my surprise, there was not. Actually, each stage of the remodel felt like no one was there, but the work just got done.

At the completion, the clean-up was impeccable.

From start to finish, CORE Remodeling (Corey, Mike and Dave) are first-class. They did two projects for us: a deck remodel where the deck was enclosed, and a basement remodel.

The deck overlooked the pool and we needed a place to enjoy where the mosquitos couldn't get us. Corey worked with us to come up with the design we liked within our budget. The best was his recommendation for 3-level windows so we could adjust the opening to keep rain out. Our friends have said the room makes you feel like you're in the tree tops.

The second remodel was the complete build-out of a basement. Our basement is a walkout to the pool and CORE Remodeling made a large room, with a full bath and wet bar. Needless to say, we spend a lot of time there.

The workmanship was first-rate, their subcontractors (paint, plumbing, electric) did a great job, and the work was completed on time and on budget.

The words our friends use when describing the job are, "Wow," "Spectacular," "Beautiful."

We talked to many contractors before deciding on CORE Remodeling. It's not that the others were not good candidates, but the attention to detail and the professionalism won us over from moment one.

Corey had every single step of our bathroom written in an easy-to-understand layout, complete with all estimates, quotes and cost. Our start and finish dates as well. His team was a professional, knowledgeable group and even adding a few projects in between was no problem.

He was amazingly quick to reply to all questions and concerns—no waiting for a call back. We are so pleased with how every facet of this remodel was handled!

Amazing! If you want "the white glove" treatment, use CORE Remodeling. Corey and his team were extremely professional. All the contractors were great and I hardly felt that there was work being done inside my house.

Each contractor left the area clean and they communicated with my husband and me on a regular basis. When problems came up (unavoidable), they solved the issues smoothly. It was well worth the price.

It was an overall pleasant experience and I have a gorgeous new master bath that looks like a hotel spa!
