HOW CORE REMODELING CAME TO BE

The story of CORE Remodeling Services begins with the owner, Corey Plourde, who spent over 25 years in corporate sales and management before transitioning into the home remodeling industry. Prior to his corporate career, he was trained as a lead carpenter for a custom home builder in New Hampshire.

In 2002, everything changed. The birth of his daughter shifted his focus away from the demands of travel and career advancement. No longer was it about the next promotion or corporate milestone—it was about being present for every school play, softball game, and basketball game. This realization sparked a profound change in his life. After much reflection, he began to develop the business plan for a new venture—one that would align with his values and allow him to stay close to home while still pursuing his passion for craftsmanship.

With his background in corporate sales, he recognized the importance of professionalism, follow-up, and exceptional customer service. Knowing that the remodeling industry often carries a poor reputation, his vision for CORE Remodeling Services, Inc. was to create a company that combined high-quality home remodeling with a level of professionalism and integrity rarely seen in the trades. After a year and a half of careful planning and developing the business model, CORE Remodeling Services, Inc. was officially launched in June 2012.
