4 Season Room/Laundry Room/Bathroom/ Home Remodel - Stow MA

4 Season Room: Built a 4-season room according to plans, including four Velux skylights, roofed with asphalt style shingles. The exterior walls were sided to match the existing house siding. The 4-Season room we installed luxury vinyl plank flooring from MSI in Aura Gold Waterproof Wood. Installed 8 Provia Endure Legacy Gliding style windows with full screens and a Provia full view glass insulated door leading to the deck. Inside we installed a new 72-inch interior French door, out swing from the inside with Schlage satin nickel hardware. Installed a Hydra (8-blade) 70-in Brushed Nickel indoor ceiling fan with light remote with wire extension kit and down rod.

Bonus Room: We built in bottom Waypoint cabinets with custom bookshelves, custom Cherry Block window seating with storage beneath and finished with Hardware Resources; Marie Cabinet Pulls. Installed new carpet in bonus room and hallway Shaw Mainstay - 102 Winters Dawn and repainted the entire room in. We also installed Mitsubishi mini splits.

Laundry Room: Installed JSI: Dove White cabinets and countertops in Silestone Blue Savoie 2cm countertop with pencil edge. The laundry room sink is Kohler Vault 24" undermount single basin stainless steel sink with silent shield technology with a Kohler Simplice 1.5 GPM single hole pull down kitchen faucet. For the flooring we installed Porto Light Sand Arcia 9.5x19.25 Hexagon Porcelain with Silver Shadow grout.

Master Bathroom: Installed JSI Amesbury White cabinets with Sahara Beige 3cm Polished Q Quartz countertops, Kohler sinks in white Caxton and finished with satin nickel Maria cabinet hardware. Custom built tiled shower in 12x24 Porcelain Rectified Inner Shore for the shower walls and bathroom floor. For the shower floor we used Inner Shore 2x2 mosaic porcelain in 12x12 sheets. We matched the countertops for thresholds and caps with the Sahara Beige 3cm Polished Quartz Wall Cap, used for shower half wall, shower threshold and half wall vanity. We installed a custom shower door. For the linear drain we installed a 60” from Signature Hardware Cohen. The vanity faucets, shower fixtures, trim and all bathroom accessories are from Kohler Devonshire line in brushed nickel. We also installed a beautiful 60” Odenwald acrylic soaking tub by Signature Hardware. The toilet by American Standard: VorMax Plus 1.28 GPF Elongated Two-Piece Toilet with Chair Height and VorMax Technology. The lighting is a triple wall sconce Kohler Devonshire Collection brushed nickel with 3 mirrors from Wall Decor.

Family Bathoom: Installed JSI Amesbury White cabinets with Sahara Beige 3cm Polished Q Quartz countertops, Kohler sinks in white Caxton and finished with satin nickel Maria cabinet hardware. Custom built tiled shower in Place Almond 12x24 Porcelain Rectified Matte. The shower floor is Place Almond 2x2 Mosaic on 12x12 sheet. We also installed customer a shower door. The vanity faucets, shower fixtures, trim and all bathroom accessories are from Kohler Devonshire line in brushed nickel. The toilet by American Standard: VorMax Plus 1.28 GPF Elongated Two-Piece Toilet with Chair Height and VorMax Technology. The lighting is a triple wall sconce; Kohler Devonshire Collection and the mirror is Essential Decorative vanity mirror by Kohler.

Customer Review for this Remodel - “Relocating from Seattle, we bought our home in Stow sight unseen since we were eager to be closer to family.  Unfortunately the house needed far more work than we'd imagined, so we researched remodeling services companies and settled on Core. We are extremely happy that we did.  Corey and his team were professional from start to finish. They modernized both our upstairs bathrooms, added a beautiful bonus room upstairs, and created an efficient and aesthetic laundry room.  At the same time, they built us a brand new four season room, replacing our deck outside.

During the design stage, Heather and the team actively  listened to our requirements and to our nice-to-haves, and came up with features that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves.   For example,  they added a closet as part of our master bath remodel since we talked about needing more storage space.   They knew that the laundry room was important to us, and factored that into the design.  As a bonus, the washer and dryer were the first appliances to become fully functional after demo!

Mike, who was the lead carpenter for our job, is an artist.  He created beautiful built-ins and custom window seats for our bonus room, and was always listening and adapting to our needs as he worked. He made great suggestions as we finalized decisions during the project.

Dane, our project manager, was attentive and accommodating.  He visited the site often, and he was very good about keeping us up to date about progress.  He worked actively on the "piece de resistance" - our four season room!  The four season room replaced an aging and decrepit deck, and it features large windows, sky lights, and an impressive ceiling fan.  We spend a great deal of our time out there now, and it has become our party room - a great addition to the house.
