Basement Remodel/Renovation - Natick MA

This beautifully framed and finished basement was built according to a detailed 3D plan, featuring carefully designed spaces for maximum functionality and comfort. The layout includes dedicated areas for HVAC storage, a closet for the hot water heater, and additional closets located near the hot water heater, at the base of the stairs, and under the stairs. The stairway was framed to accommodate hardwood finishes with a baluster railing on the left, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the space.

Lighting & Finishes
The basement is illuminated by 24 warm white recessed LED lights, each on standard dimmer switches to create a customizable ambiance. All walls, framed ductwork, and ceilings were finished with smooth plasterboard, ensuring a clean, polished look.

Stairway Details
The stairway features oak risers and treads, with a newly added oak handrail and balusters on the left side, providing both style and safety. The stair treads and handrail were stained in a custom color chosen by the client and finished with a durable urethane coating. All other components, including the stair risers, balusters, newel post, and trim work, were painted in crisp white for a fresh, modern look.

Flooring & Trim
Throughout the basement, luxury vinyl plank flooring in Alto Plus Miletto was installed for durability and elegance. Doors were installed according to the design plan, including a set of double French doors at the bottom of the stairs. All window, door trim, and base mouldings were upgraded to match the existing home’s style, with polished chrome hardware for a sleek, cohesive finish. One-piece crown moulding was added throughout the living space to complete the refined design, closely matching the home’s original trim.
