Whole House Renovation/Remodel – Uxbridge, MA

This full home renovation in Uxbridge, MA, brought new life and functionality to the entire first floor, focusing on creating a cohesive and modern space that meets the client's vision. Here’s an in-depth overview of the project:

New First Floor Design:

We began by designing a completely new floor plan for the first level, tailored to the homeowner's needs. This included a detailed kitchen layout, complete with 3D renderings to provide a clear visualization of the new space. As part of the redesign, we closed in one window and a doorway, optimizing the layout for better flow and functionality. Additionally, we created a new entranceway closet, offering practical storage for coats, shoes, and other items.

Kitchen Transformation:

The kitchen underwent a complete transformation with the installation of Homecrest Semi-Custom Cabinetry in the elegant West Lake Maple with an Anchor Stain finish. These cabinets feature soft-close doors and drawers, ensuring quiet, smooth operation. To further enhance the kitchen’s functionality and ambiance, we added under-cabinet lighting, which not only brightens the workspace but also adds a modern touch.

The countertops were upgraded to stunning Vietera Minuet Quartz with Demi-Bullnose Edges, offering a sleek and durable surface for everyday use. The kitchen sink is a high-quality Kazza undermount stainless steel sink, seamlessly integrated into the countertops for a clean, modern aesthetic.

Lighting & Electrical Updates:

All-new recessed lighting was installed throughout the first floor, providing both task and ambient lighting. We also updated all switching to modernize the space and enhance convenience.

Flooring:

The existing hardwood floors were fully refinished, restoring their natural beauty and bringing warmth to the newly designed space. The refinished floors add continuity throughout the first floor, blending seamlessly with the new design elements.

Doors & Windows:

To enhance both the aesthetic and security of the home, we installed a new Provia entrance door with a Heritage handleset and bolt lock, flanked by two sidelites for additional light. The door is complemented by a full-view Provia storm door, offering protection from the elements while allowing light to flood the entrance.

We also installed a Provia Aspect sliding glass patio door, providing easy access to the outdoor space and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. For added curb appeal, we fitted all exterior windows with new Harvey Midnight Blue shutters, which beautifully contrast the home’s exterior while adding a pop of color.

Trim & Moldings:

We removed all interior stained trim from the first floor and replaced it with new trim and moldings, finished in a fresh semi-gloss white paint. This update gives the space a clean, polished look, tying together the new design and adding a touch of elegance to every room.

Additional Updates:

A new door to the basement was installed, adding functionality and improving access to this lower level of the home.

This whole house renovation in Uxbridge, MA, transformed the first floor into a modern, functional space that reflects the homeowner’s personal style. From the redesigned kitchen layout to the refinished floors and upgraded doors, every detail was carefully considered to create a cohesive and inviting home environment.
